Every god except Persephone has either been no help, an active hinderance, or at outright antagonist.īut in EE, the Jade Emperor essentially tells us to our faces to screw off and that he will do nothing to help. And why not: the gods have repeatedly shown themselves to be worthless allies at best and treacherous, evil bastards at worst. Every other god, we fought at least once. Up until EE, there was only one God in the entire game who you saw but did not fight: Persephone, in Immortal Throne. But what I actually hate most of all is the writing decisions: They just aren't actually there for most of the "fight". They are NO STRONGER than ragnarok bosses - in fact, they're weaker. My build kills one of the Suns in 4 autoattacks, exactly, and with psionic beam that takes about 1 second. If you don't get stunned, they still die like bitches.
So if I get hit, then I'm stunned just in time for them all to come kill me. This is doubly bad because.Įach wave of Suns seems to be invulnerable for a couple seconds upon arrival, leaving me to dodge rocks while I wait for them to become damage-able. They have too large an AOE on impact, such that even if you see one coming, you sometimes can't dodge fast enough. The constant stun-rocks raining from the sky are just bullshit. That's a terrible design choice, because so many builds rely so heavily on elemental damage - it reduces the whole game to 'how much -resistance can you access?' And forces you to use special scrolls if you don't have squall or something like it in your toolkit. The first phase has 100% elemental resistance. It has a combination of several things I hate: This is not a good boss battle - in fact, I found it one of the worst in the game. My build ripped through EE as easily as everything else. Ragnarok was harder than this, and Ragnarok was not hard.
I generally agree with you, but have a few points of disagreement.
